兔子在繁星间折跃
Rabbits hover among the stars,
他们从不在一个位置停留
but they never stop at the same spot.
那时的兔子还是食肉动物
Back then, the rabbits were still carnivores,
他们狩猎银河两岸的野牛
who hunted bisons on the coasts of the sea of stars.
那时的兔子不在乎月亮
Back then, the rabbits didn't care for the moon,
他们依靠变光的恒星完成导航
since they relied on changing stars to navigate.
炎热的阵雨冲刷过鲸鱼的白骨
As the blazing rain washed over the whale's bones,
古老的身体上长起了参天大树
on the ancient body grew a towering tree.
兔子就从这样的树下穿过
Through such a tree the rabbits passed,
不曾抬头，只是赶路
travelling in a hurry, never looked up.
没人知道在遥远的过去
No one knows if in the distant past,
兔子有没有吃掉天上的月亮
the rabbits had eaten the moon in the sky.
他们不曾欢笑，也从不在意悲伤
They neither laugh nor care about sorrow,
兔子只是追逐银河的季风
as they are just seasonal winds chasing the cosmos.
